Legacy Suites
Rock Hill, NC

GDS provided preliminary and final landscape design documents for this hotel development on approximately 2.0 acres located in Rock Hill, SC. The design addressed proposed landscape development for the property per the requirements set forth in the Rock Hill Zoning Code pertaining to Land Use Buffer, Parking Lot Landscaping, Parking Lot Screening Landscaping, Building Landscaping and Streetscape Landscaping. Calculations were performed in order to achieve the required landscaping for the site. The plant material was specified conforming to the City of Rock Hill Landscape Plant Material List which included native plantings and grasses suitable for the region. Extensive planting was necessary to satisfy the City landscape ordinance, which included tabulations for required trees and shrubs.

The landscape design features plant massing of a variety of trees and shrubs around the building and parking lot area. Low maintenance was key to the design objective which provided for dwarf shrubs and perennials. CLICK ON THE IMAGES BELOW FOR DESCRIPTIONS.
