This featured roadway median enhancement project is located in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri. The project presented the opportunity for proposed landscape planting and irrigation sprinkler systems with focus planting area features enhancing approximately 2 miles of existing parkway medians located within a central and important area of the City. Landscape architectural consulting services where provided which included analysis and inventory of the existing parkway medians along with preliminary design and final construction documents recommending location of proposed landscape and other improvements.

RECOMMENDATIONS 

The overall landscape design objective for this project was to create a sustainable, clean and impressive landscape image within the City. Special attention was given to plant material which would produce seasonal color, compact growth and be salt and pollution tolerant. Seasonal flowers and perennials are featured at the ends and middle of the medians in order to create accent color and attention to intersections.
